Beaches

Undeniably, the beaches of Salou are the major tourist magnets of the town. The fine golden sand, the crystalline shallow waters, and the natural splendor have enabled these shorelines to attain the Blue Flag status. Having the Blue Flag award means that these beaches have passed the international standard of cleanliness both on the shore and on the waters. Some of the beaches offer a more intimate atmosphere, typically surrounded by beautiful palm trees and coves. Other beaches provide a more contemporary ambience with the series of hotels and beachfront abodes in sight.

Beaches
The Ponent Beach

This shoreline used to be just a “Ladies’ Beach” when mixed bathing was still not acceptable. Ponent Beach is a little longer than one kilometer, and it connects to the adjacent resort of Cambrils.

Capellans Beach

This eye catching beach is 220 meters long and can be reached through Bruselles Street.

Llenguadets Beach

A small cove that can only be reached by foot from Tortosa Street.

Cala De La Font Beach

This is a small beach, about 70 meters long, and may be reached from the Les Dunes Street.

Llarga Beach

Llarga Beach is 600 meters long of marvelous shoreline surrounded by pine trees. The best route to reach this beach is through Replanells Street, off the Salou - Tarragona coast road.

Llevant Beach

The Llevant Beach holds several sports activities especially during the summer season. This coast is the longest in the resort, ranging one thousand two hundred meters. This beach was previously termed the "Men's Beach," equated yet alienated from the Ponent Beach by the seaport.

Penya - Tallada Beach

The Penya - Tallada Beach is a 125 meter long coast of lovely, undamaged beach, providing the perfect, tranquil ambience that city people yearn for.

Cala Crancs Beach

The Cala Crancs is the smallest among the beaches of the town of Salou, measuring only 50 meters long. It is situated in the easternmost part of Salou's coastal attractions. Nevertheless, it is considered as one of the prettiest beaches in Salou. It can be reached by taking the Faro de Salou road and Pins de Cintet Street in the Urbanización Núria.
